Sponsored by the Town of Easton and Talbot Thrive

The Neighborhood Walkaround on October 12th was a great success! We had approximately forty people in attendance at the event. The event was open to anyone who lives, works, owns a business, hangs out, or simply has an interest in the vibrant and diverse East End neighborhood.

On this 1.3 mile walk, which was co-sponsored by Talbot Thrive, we gathered feedback on specific sites and topics relevant to the plan area. We talked about our public spaces and how we can improve them. We observed, described, and documented the existing buildings, street patterns, and landmarks in the neighborhood. And we explored the sidewalks, paths, intersections, and crosswalks that we use to shop, dine, commute, and recreate.

Many thanks to Sevan Topjian for providing an overview of Dover Station, and for Ross Benincasa for providing an overview of the future Easton Crossing development.

Attached is the summary of comments we heard during our neighborhood walkaround last Saturday. Our consultants will include this information in preparation of the upcoming charrette.
